デザインセンターでは新しい未来のくらしを考えるアドバンスデザイン活動を行っておりその中から、「間の間（あいだのま）」というコンセプトでDesignartなどの外部展示を行った一部の コンセプトデザインモデルを「 Concept F 」 としてIF Design Awardに出品しました。

■「間の間（あいだのま）」について
現代の暮らしにおいて、風や光、影や音などの“空間の響き”を感じることは、とても大切なことだと考えています。 一方で、今では空間を仕切るような構成が主流となっています。そこで、今だからできる“空間の響き”を見つけたい。 このような想いから、「間の間（あいだのま）」が生まれました。 光、影、気配を感じる事によって、空間と空間を心地よく響かせる新しい住空間の提案です。

■「Concept F 」 について
周囲の環境と心地よい関係を作るフェンスです。 交差しながら折り重なったいくつもの線や空気を包みこんだ形状は向こう側の景色を気配に変化させるとともにその美しい影が空間の広がりを生み出します。 素材がカーボンのため、今までのフェンスの様な柱がなくても自立します。 それによって、光、影、気配といったニュアンスを抽出するために必要な細い線だけの構成が可能となっています。

At our design centers, we engage in advanced design to imagine new ways of living for the future, one of which was the concept of “Aida no Ma” (In-Between Space). Titled “Concept F,” we submitted some of the conceptual design models shown at DESIGNART and other outdoor exhibitions to the iF Design Award.

About “Aida no Ma” (In-Between Space)
We believe that experiencing “resonance of space” through wind, light, shadows and sounds is essential in our modern lifestyles. However, in today’s design world, the partitioning of space has become standard practice. “Aida no Ma” (In-Between Space) was born from our inspiration to incorporate “resonance of space” into our modern surroundings. We propose a new style of living in which spaces are comfortably connected via the experience of light, shadow and presence as they resonate between the spaces.

About Concept F
Concept F is a fence that creates a comfortable relationship with its surrounding environment. Its airy form, achieved through multiple intersecting and overlapping lines, transforms the scenery on the other side of the fence into abstract signs of presence and creates beautiful shadows that open up the space. Made of carbon, the fence stands on its own even without the use of traditional columns. The delicate structural lines enabled by this material brings out nuances in the space that are experienced in the form of light, shadow and presence.
