「五世代」の家は人生100年時代の暮らし方を提案する住宅です。高齢化が進み、子どもが少ない、そんな世の中でどんな暮らし方が人々にとって幸せにつながるのか？高齢者だけが当事者ではありません。人生100年時代だからこそ、子どもも20歳代も40歳代も暮らし方が少しづつ変化していくことでしょう。そして今や65歳以上はみんな高齢者とは言えません。60歳代と80歳代の暮らし方やニーズは全然違うと考えます。そこで、暮らし方のひとつの形を提案します。五世代４世帯が協力し、助け合い、見守りあう、ミニコミュニティを形成する暮らし方を提案する住宅です。さらに各世代に適したニーズを、4つの世帯に分けて考えました。

"Five generations house" is a house that proposes a way of living in the age of 100 years society. As the aging progresses, children are few, what kind of way of living will make people happy in such a world? It is not a problem only for elderly people. Children, twenties and forties will change little by little in their lives. And, we think that the way of living and needs in the 60s and 80s are completely different. Therefore, we propose one form of life style. Five generations 4 households cooperate, to help each other, to watch over, to propose a way of living to form a mini-community. Furthermore, we considered the needs suited to each generation into four households.

長寿命社会の住宅をシェアハウスのような考えで解いている。４世帯の住空間はそれぞれの特徴に対応した作り込みを行う一方で、シェアスペースとしてのキッチンや水廻りはゆとりをもたせることはもちろん、スペックの高い設備を設える契機となるのであろう。それが核家族向けの住設とはどのように異なるのか、今後の展開が興味深い。また、シェアハウスのようにつくっているのであれば、血縁を超えた住み方への展開も期待される。
