Touring Exhibitions

(LIXIL GALLERY 1 and LIXIL GALLERY OSAKA)

Four LIXIL GALLERY Touring Exhibitions are held annually. The exhibitions visit two LIXIL galleries successively. LIXIL GALLERY 1 in Tokyo was established in 1981; and LIXIL GALLERY OSAKA, in 1984. 　The exhibitions look at "architecture, design and related fields" from unique perspectives.
An LIXIL BOOKLET is compiled for each exhibition and published by LIXIL Publishing (in Japanese only). Besides their availability as a catalog at the exhibition venue, the booklets can also be obtained as an independent book for reading and enjoying from bookstores nationwide.
*GALLERY NAGOYA will be in operation until the end of May 2012 as one of the touring exhibitions.

Solo Contemporary Art Exhibitions

(LIXIL GALLERY 2)

Founded in 1982, LIXIL GALLERY 2 holds month-long solo exhibitions devoted mainly to young contemporary artists working in such genres as painting, sculpture, photography, video, and installations. For each exhibition, LIXIL ART NEWS, a newsletter carrying an interview with the featured artist, is published (in Japanese only).

Solo Ceramics Exhibitions

(LIXIL GALERIA CERAMICA)

Founded in 1994, GALERIA CERAMICA holds month-long solo exhibitions devoted to young contemporary ceramists, based on the concept, “a showcase for new ceramic expression by powerfully original young artists.” By giving young artists a venue for their first solo exhibition, the exhibitions serve as a springboard for their careers. LIXIL CERAMICA NOTE, a newsletter carrying an interview with the featured artist is published for each exhibition (in Japanese only).
